CRC 1211
The Collaborative Research Centre “Earth - Evolution at the Dry Limit” positions its work at the interface between landscape evolution and biological evolution – both are mutually dependent. The researchers will focus on arid and extremely arid regions where biological activity can be more easily identified and the earth surface processes better characterised because processes take place more slowly there.
Geoverbund ABC/J
The Geoverbund ABC/J bundles and connects the know-how of the universities RWTH Aachen, Bonn and Cologne as well as the Forschungszentrum Jülich in the field of geosciences. Joint research and education activities are focusing on the dynamic Human-Earth-System. Future issues in the fields of evolution of the Earth, environmental dynamics, georesource management, and geo risks will be identified. Contributions will be made in order to find solutions for the pressing future challenges.
Our Way to Europe
The CRC 806 (Collaborative Research Centre 806) deals with population dynamics and dispersal processes of Modern Man on his way from Africa to Europe.
